ABOUT US

About Peter

Welcome to my website! I’ve been living and working in the City of Port Phillip for more than 30 years and after retiring as
principal of Port Melbourne Primary School earlier this year I now want increase our community's influence on council decision-making.
I will be a strong voice for the issues that matter, such as a COVID-19 Recovery plan that supports local families and businesses.
I have always been a voice for high quality, accessible and affordable locally run council services like our early education centres and libraries.
We can’t afford any more mistakes at Fishermans Bend! I have a track record for fighting for proper community infrastructure including new schools, hospitals and community services to ensure our community isn’t left behind.
I want to tackle the parking crisis in our community and rejuvenate Station Pier and Bay St.

As a father, principal and local community member involved in a range of sporting clubs and education centres I have a track record of:

-
Working with government and stakeholders to develop local schools and childcare centres.
-
Liaising with council, government and our community to re-develop the JL Murphy Reserve.
-
Decades of experience advocating for publicly run services, including local kindergartens, sporting clubs and community events
FISHERMANS BEND
Council needs to engage with our community in planning for the Fishermans Bend precinct. It must fight for environmentally sustainable housing, and easy access to public transport, healthcare and education, WITHOUT impacting negatively on other local residents.
